In the last couple of days/weeks, I
haven't been able to properly check my
balance. After each call, I would
receive a strange message conveying
nothing, except funny characters. It is
therefore needed from your kind end to
check what is wrong. On the other the
numbers 152 and 153 have been never
responsive.

I am using AWCC too and nothing is happening like this. Did you check your balance with *123# command? It might be your cell phone problem.
