Few months before, I tried to register .af domain with http://www.nic.af/, They asked me for company license,I was registering a domain privately not related to any Organization, after long discussion they asked me for ID or Passport, They register a domain for me with my first name, for example my name is YAQOOB, they offered me domain www.yaqoob.af. It was so funny, if i need a domain like www.afghanweb.af , and they are asking me for license for this which I can't provide because I want to run this web privately. but they didn't agree with me. so I decided to register with .com and forget about .af , cause of this f...king policy of http://www.nic.af/ . I suggest to revise this policy and make it easy like other countries or they have to put all .af domain in their own pocket.

This may happen in next few years once the period that NIC has allocated for companies to register domains are finished. since we do not have any copyright laws in places yet, everyone cannot be allowed to register anything they like. For example, you cannot go and register www.yahoo.af or google.af! you need to represent those companies to register. i hope you understand!

Hello Bro, I agree with you I am having the same issue I registered few .af domains online but they suspended one of them When I went to Ministry they asked for a License despite that I am registering it as a private I hate this policy this is the reason that the .af domain is not developing they should rethink about this and make the registration process easy for everyone and the registration should be in first come first serve base.
